KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A local band called 'The Firesides' are touring assisted living facilities and playing outdoor concerts to entertain hundreds of elderly in our area.

Ron Meyer says The Firesides have been entertaining at assisted living facilities for years in the Tri-Cities.

Because of strict regulations at these homes in our region, The Firesides are now performing their songs outside for hundreds of elderly.

The band is made up of two people. Ron Meyer and Bruce Ginther.

They say they are enjoying this new concept of playing outside for people who are currently stuck in their homes.

Meyer said, "They’re locked in we’re locked out, so we’ll light up the parking lot."
