Department stores announce closings in wake of coronavirus

PORTLAND (WGME) – Kohl’s says it’s temporarily closing down all of its stores, starting Thursday night at 7, until April 1.

There are a number of stores in Maine, including Westbrook, Biddeford, Auburn, Augusta and Bangor. TJ Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods will also close its stores and online shopping for two weeks.

JCPenney is also closing all of its locations until April 2.

There are four locations in Maine, including the Maine Mall, Auburn Mall, Waterville and Bangor.

The company says customers can still shop online or through its app.
