200 to 300 cars stranded on I-82 after several car wrecks

BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-- 200 to 300 cars are stranded on I-82 near Coffin Road according to Washington State Troopers.

Troopers report that several wrecks are blocking the roadway including a semi-truck that has jackknifed.

Troopers on scene are trying get cars to turn around and head towards the Tri-Cities.

Some cars have been stranded in the area since 2 p.m. Saturday evening.

Troopers are working to get people to safety, at this time there is no estimated time for when roads will be cleared.
