A look at the brand-new Kennewick Boys and Girls Club
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- It's a clubhouse any kid would love to explore, and soon it's opening its doors in Kennewick.
Action News got a sneak peek of the brand-new Kennewick branch of the Boys and Girls Club.
It has a spacious gym, a teen center, pre-school, art room, tech lab, and plenty of space to learn and grow.
This clubhouse is here because of generous donations and community fundraising of more than four-million dollars.
"Our kids are worth it,” Branch Director Luke Hallowell said. “We just really want our kids to have the best, and we want them to know that our community cares about them, and we're rooting for them, and we know they're our future."
The clubhouse will open to teens on Monday, and for everyone else on February 4.
If you'd like to register your child, open registration night is January 28 from 5 pm to 7 pm.
