TRI-CITIES, Wash. - Folks can help support children who are facing life-threatening illnesses by buying a star pinup at a local Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar.

According to a press release from the restaurant chain, locations in Washington are participating in a fundraiser to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation through March 25.

Customers will have the opportunity to purchase star pinups for $1 and $5. All proceeds in these donations are going to local kids who need help fulfilling their wish through the foundation, according to leaders with the Apple American Group.

Leaders said those who donate $5 or more will receive a coupon for $5 off their next visit.

Participating Applebee's restaurants in Washington are located in Kennewick, Longview, Pasco, Richland (Columbia Point), Vancouver and Walla Walla.

Some locations in Idaho and Oregon are also participating in this fundraiser.
