The oldest beer choir chapter in the country switched things up Sunday afternoon and turned into a cider choir.

The Atomic Chapter sang from 3pm to 5:30pm at Goose Ridge Estate Vineyards and Winery.

This was the first time the group sang at the winery.

The chapter is known for keeping the tradition of drinking beer and singing alive in pubs and breweries but decided to change things up a bit.

"This whole beer choir program is a kin to group karaoke. People come together share a few pints in this case a couple glasses of cider and we all sing together trying to recreate that spirit of communal singing that people use to do hundreds of years ago at their favorite pub or watering hole." Justin Raffa, song leader with the Atomic Chapter said.

Cider drinkers weren't required to sing but event leaders say the more the merrier.

The beer choir hands out the atomic chapter has been around before they start singing so people can follow along.

The chapter and winery hope to do more events like this in the future.
