Folks can support local animal shelter by attending dog-themed film fest

RICHLAND, Wash. - Dog-lovers and film-lovers alike have the opportunity to give back to local shelter animals in need of homes.

The Benton Franklin Humane Society is inviting the community to the Uptown Theatre in Richland for a film festival that highlights everything K-9. The second-annual Bow Wow Film Festival is set to take place Saturday at 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.

According to the Facebook event, doors will open to movie-goers at 6 p.m.

Leaders with the Humane Society said the event will feature innovative, dog-themed short films.

Organizer say all proceeds made during the event will benefit the Humane Society.

Those interested in attending can purchase tickets for $12, and $8 for kids 12 and under. A flyer for this event is attached to this story.
