Community talks with author of "Manhattan Project at Hanford Site"
RICHLAND, Wash. -- Many community members made their way over to Bookwalter winery to hear Lisa Toomey, CEO of the REACH museum, read excerpts from her newly published book called "Manhattan Project at Hanford Site".
It talks about our state in the 40's and what role we played in history.
People in attendance shared stories about what life was like in Washington during that time.
All profits from buying the book at the REACH will fund education exhibits there.
The museum is currently working on digitizing pictures from the Cold war.
