Deputies: Man's body found in Prosser
PROSSER, Wash. - Sheriff's deputies say they have found a body near I-82 in Prosser.
Someone traveling on I-82 noticed the man's body Wednesday around 2:12 p.m. near the highway between milepost 83 and 84, and deputies estimate the body was at that location for approximately four days.
Investigators found the body at the south side of a barbed wire fence, and believe the man was trying to climb the fence. No signs of injury were apparent.
The deceased has not been identified. He is described as a white man, possibly 55 to 70 year old, and balding with a long beard, according to Benton County Sheriff's Office reports.
Deputies said the man was wearing new looking shoes, jeans, a dark green colored light jacket and a black colored beanie type cap when his body was found. Detectives did not find any identification on the deceased.
Benton County Sheriff's deputies are investigating. An autopsy is scheduled Friday to determine a cause of death.
