DEVELOPING: Pasco Police confirm one dead, suspect in custody
PASCO, Wash. — Police said one man is dead and they have a suspect in custody after an incident that shut down a neighborhood south of Lewis Street on Sunday afternoon.
Officials won't confirm how the man died or who they have in custody but Action News was there as they blocked traffic through the neighborhood surrounding the crime scene for a few hours.
Pasco Police and Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies said they responded to a home on the 200-block of 22nd Avenue after someone reported hearing gunshots fired.
Officers and deputies contained the neighborhood at Frontage Road and A-Street from 20th Ave. to 25th Ave., and brought in K-9 units to search for a "person of interest".
PPD told Action news the investigation is ongoing.
