HERMISTON, Ore. (KEPR) — The Fuzz Ball Animal Rescue posted about a little dog and her puppy that are the true definition of survivors.

The rescue posted on their Facebook page about the incident and kept viewers up to date on how they were doing.

Their original post was Tuesday, explaining that the mama was hit by a car.

Action News has heard that the names for these cute little dogs are Xena and Marvel.

Following an x-ray and surgery they posted this post this Wednesday morning:

Good Morning everyone!
Look at these two
It is so wonderful to see that both are doing amazing!
This is one heck of a miracle. This mama is a warrior and so is her baby. To have survived being on the streets, run over, in labor with a puppy that was too big to come out and then a c-section and leg amputation while in shock!
They are little miracles!
Now we need some names for these two.
Donations are appreciated as their bill is quite high and every dollar helps us to be able to help the next stray animal in need.
You can call Oregon Trail Vet Clinic at 541-567-1138 or you can make a donation through PayPal at fuzzballrescue.com . You can also mail in donations to P.o. Box 580, Hermiston 97838.
