Domestic Violence suspect emerges from a van with a machete; arrested on the spot
BENTON CITY, Wash. - A man is now behind bars, after Benton County Sheriff's Deputies say the suspect assaulted his wife in Benton city then threatened them with a machete.
Deputies responded about 9 PM last night to a domestic violence disturbance in the area of 13th Street and Neptune Avenue.
The suspect, William Trumble, allegedly fled the scene.
Deputies located the man leaving the area in his work van, and stopped the van down the road.
As he exited the vehicle, Deputies say Trumble emerged with a machete.
However, the man dropped the weapon and was taken into custody.
