Dutch Bros planning fundraiser for family of Zade Hakki
RICHLAND, Wash. - A local Dutch Bros is working to raise money for the family of one of their popular baristas who authorities said died in a motorcycle crash.
Zade M. Hakki, 22, of Kennewick was killed Wednesday after his motorcycle collided with a large pickup truck at the intersection of Steptoe and Center Parkway in Richland.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m., Wednesday. Police said Hakki died at the scene.
Dutch Bros. Coffee released a statement regarding the loss of Hakki, who was an assistant manager at the coffee shop.
Zade Hakki was an amazing member of the Dutch Bros family, one we’re already missing. Zade was loved by his customers and co-workers and was always making people laugh. He was the person you could go to for advice, help or friendship and know you would receive it without judgement. Right now, the Dutch Bros family is concentrating on helping our customers, crew and Zade’s loved ones through this difficult time.
Co-workers of Hakki said they are now organizing a fundraiser for his family. Information of this fundraiser will be provided as soon as details are confirmed.
