KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A family is extremely upset after finding their pet cat tortured and spray-painted in their south Kennewick neighborhood.

The victim wishes to remain anonymous but is allowing Action News to use pictures of their cat. Harry was found recently covered in black spray-paint, the owner said. The incident happened in the area of South Olympia and 40th Avenue.

The family has taken their cat to the vet for treatment. That vet visit has already cost the family $200. The vet confirmed to the family that the black substance covering the feline was black paint.

The cat's owner says she plans to file a police report. She tells Action News that her children are deeply upset about the recent attack on their cat.
