First 2,000 runners will win medals at Lampson Cable Bridge Run

PASCO, Wash. -- Don't be surprised to see Santa running down the Cable Bridge next week.

More than a thousand runners will be braving the cold for the 40th-annual Lampson Cable Bridge Run.

The bridge will be shut down to cars, and runners can choose between a one mile, 5k, and 10k race.

"It's become a holiday tradition as they dress up in their ugly sweaters or Santa hats or even dress up like snowme, said Brent Kubalek, Pasco Recreation Services Manager."

Because it's the 40th anniversary, they'll be handing out medals to the first 2,000 people to cross the finish line.

You can still register for the Dec. 15 race here. Save $5 registering by using the code “SAVE$5CBR.”
