PASCO, Wash. - Police say two men who used to work at Chiawana High School in Pasco have been investigated for having an alleged sexual relationship with a student.

Pasco police and the Pasco School District investigated these allegations which resulted in the arrest of former security guard, Darrell Thomas Palomo, 34.

Palomo has been booked into Franklin County Jail on an investigative hold for first degree sexual misconduct, police say.

Police said the two employees allegedly had dating relationships at separate times with a Chiawana student while working there. Police said the relationship included sex off-campus.

According to probable cause documents, the alleged relationship between Palomo and the 17-year-old student started approximately one year ago and ended recently.

During the investigation, the student disclosed details of their relationship to police, and admitted to sexual acts on several occasions.

She told authorities Palomo tried to conceal the relationship, according to documents.

Palomo's bail is set at $5,000. His court arraignment is set for Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.

Investigators said they have interviewed the second suspect, a former para-educator at the school. The suspect's case will be reviewed for charges.

Officials with the police department and school district do not believe there is any further risks to students.

Police and the district are urging anyone with information regarding any unreported incidents like this case to contact the Pasco Police Department immediately.
