BENTON COUNTY, Wash. — The former Deacon who pleaded guilty to molesting two girls in his congregaton is about to head to prison after being sentenced Tuesday.
Robert Davalle, 75, was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison on first-degree child molestation charges.
Each charge required a minimum of 67 months in custody run concurrently so he will only spend five and a half years in prison.
After reading letters to the court from both victims, the prosecutor asked the judge to consider the wishes and well-being of the victims and their families.
Davalle also offered a tearful apology to the victims and their families shortly before the judge handed down her ruling.
The judge also issued a lifelong no-contact order between Davalle and the victims.
