Four people arrested with several warrants at a home in Richland

[UPDATE 4:30 p.m.]: Richland Police Department Officers arrest four people and detain 13 people after a weapons complaint at a residence in Richland. Around 9:30 a.m., Officers responded to a weapons complaint in the 300 block of Barth Ave near the 300 block of Davenport St. in Richland.

Officers said a witness reported seeing a white male display a pistol and fire a single round toward the ground. Officers arrived on scene and set up a perimeter around the area.

RPD SUAS team deployed a drone which located several people in the backyard of the home. With the assistance of Kennewick Police Department K9, Benton County Sheriff's Office Deputies and the Tri-Cities Regional SWAT Team, 13 people were detained.

One suspect was identified for suspicious of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and was arrested. Three other suspects were arrested for local warrants.

Officers said the investigation has concluded.

Richland Police Department Officers arrested four people that had several warrants, at a home in Richland after a report of a weapons complaint in the area on Sept. 29.

Around 9 a.m., Officers pulled over a vehicle and received reports of a gunshot in the area of North Richland. Officers left the vehicle that had been pulled over and began investigating the area for a gunshot.

Officers said there was no sign of a gunshot in the area and returned to the area where they had pulled the vehicle over. The vehicle had fled from the scene and Officers immediately searched for the vehicle. Officers believe the vehicle had been stolen and the occupant of the vehicle was wanted in connection with other crimes.

Officers then found the vehicle at a residence in the 300 block of Davenport St. in Richland after a report of a weapons complaint. Officers flew their drone over the home and verified a large group of people in the backyard. Officers called on the people to exit the home.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office Deputies and Kennewick Police Department were called to assist.

After investigating, Officers arrested three people that had warrants for other crimes and transported them to the Benton County Jail.

Officers also arrested the occupant of the vehicle that had fled from RPD. The suspect had warrants for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Domestic Abuse. The suspect was transported to a local hospital after ingesting drugs while attempting to escape from arrest.

No injuries were reported and no one was shot.

The people involved in the car and at the home are well known to Police.

RPD said they are waiting to obtain a search warrant to enter the home and to confirm if the vehicle is stolen. Officers believe the license plates on the vehicle were swapped.
