Kennewick Wash. — The Port of Kennewick is welcoming a new food truck to town.
Frida's Mexican Grill, takes their name from Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo, known for her brilliant colors in her paintings. Likewise the grill is offering colorful tortillas cooked to order with natural ingredients for color such as Guajillo Chili Pods, Cilantro, and Jalapeno Peppers.
Frida's is located just off of Columbia Drive in Kennewick at the Food Truck Plaza. Frida's will have five other food trucks joining them at the location as well as wineries and tasting rooms nearby.
Co-Owner Sonia Cruz tells us that both her and her husbands family have a passion for cooking, especially in a food-truck setting, and are excited to bring their cuisine to the Tri-Cities community.
Sonia says. "I personally enjoy home-made tortillas. When I do have time, as much as possible, I make home-made tortillas at home for my family. They're just, they add more flavor to the food. So offering home-made tortillas and just bringing that tradition into our cuisine, is something that we wanted to offer to our clients."
