Full water supply expected for KID customers in 2018
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Irrigation District (KID) leaders say they do not anticipate any water restrictions this year for customers.
A new report released Monday shows that KID is anticipating a near full annual water allotment for the 2018 season and does not anticipate the need for restrictions or mandatory enforcement of watering schedules, at this time.
KID leaders said this estimate could change due to lack of precipitation or a lengthy heat wave.
KID always recommends conserving water by retraining your lawn to grow deeper roots to better withstand dry weather periods and by using high efficiency watering systems.
