According to a press release from the department of energy:

Due to adverse weather conditions, non-essential Hanford employees should adhere to the following schedule.

They say that swing and graveyard shifts have been cancelled for tonight.

All on-duty ESSENTIAL personnel are to contact their manager BEFORE leaving the Hanford Site and all on-coming ESSENTIAL personnel are to contact their manager BEFORE leaving your home for work for the next shift change to confirm the shift change is necessary.

Winter driving conditions should be expected.

Employees should use extra caution and plan for longer commute times.

Due to hazardous road conditions from blowing and drifting snow, Highway 240 is closed from Mile Post 26 (in Richland) to the Vernita Bridge and Highway 24 is closed from Mile Post 38 (Yakima Barricade) to Mile Post 9. SR224 and SR225 are also closed. Employees should enter and exit the Hanford Site through the WYE Barricade until further notice and check for other possible State highway closures.

Call the Hanford Hotline at 376-9999 for updates.
