A coyote is now back in the wild after a Kennewick family found the young coyote inside their house.

Officers were called to the Kennewick residence on Klamath Ave. yesterday, where a young coyote entered the home through a back door.

The family says the coyote was found curled up in a kitchen corner, uninjured but a little scared.

With the assistance of local wildlife control, the coyote was captured without injuries to it, the homeowner, or officers.

Officials say that the coyote was taken to a nearby sagebrush area, where they think the mother will find it.
