Kennewick man arrested for child rape
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Police arrested 41 year-old Robert Berryhill after a child reported alleged sexual abuse to a school counselor.
On Wednesday, police say a student told a school counselor about potential sexual abuse by an adult. Officers say that counselor immediately told a Kennewick school resource officer.
Detectives interviewed the student and say they were able to develop cause to arrest Berryhill at his home on South Alder Loop.
Detectives say the quick action by the student lead officers to a quick arrest.
Police booked Berryhill into the Benton County Jail for 3rd degree rape and child molestation.
