Ki-Be students expelled after alleged plan to stab classmate to death exposed
BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - Detectives are investigating an alleged plot students devised to stab a classmate to death with a knife.
According to Benton County Sheriff's Office reports, three 16-year-old Kiona-Benton City High School students planned to kill an 18-year-old classmate in the back of the school market during lunch.
Detectives were informed of this incident when school staff and students said the three students tried to lure the victim to the orchard behind the market November 15, to then stab him with a knife.
Reports said two uninvolved students witnessed a person wearing a red mask in the orchard and tried to approach the masked person, who would run into the orchard when they tried to question them.
The 18-year-old student was not harmed in this incident as the plan did not move forward.
School officials emergency expelled one of the male students and a female student involved, November 16, after they were informed of the incident. Officials just learned of the second male student's involvement Wednesday.
