PASCO, Wash. — Thanksgiving just a week away and to keep the holiday spirit going a local restaurant is offering free meals for anyone in need.
Havana Cafe in Pasco will be preparing up to 700 meals, doubling the number of meals they gave out last year.
The owner, Leo Morales, tells Action News that he wanted to keep the tradition even though folks won't be able to dine in for the Thanksgiving dinner.
“We are going to do at least 600 or 700 plates for free. It’s not just for the homeless it’s for anybody who needs it, this year I guess we are going to do more because there is more need,” explained Morales.
Anyone is welcome to stop by Havana Cafe from 11 AM to 5 PM on Thanksgiving to grab a to-go dinner. The meal offered will have turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, and bread. Havana Cafe is located at 404 W Lewis Street.
