Lourdes offers scholarships for undergrads pursuing healthcare
TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- Students pursuing nursing or a healthcare related field could be eligible for a Lourdes scholarship.
The Lourdes Foundation and Lourdes Auxiliary will be awarding seven scholarships to undergraduate students living in the Tri-Cities and Burbank area.
Scholarships are based on academic performance, volunteerism, and financial need.
"There's a need in our community for these scholarships," said Lourdes Foundation President Kathy Ruggles. "We're trying to reach out to those students in those areas so that hopefully one day once they have their education in nursing or in a healthcare related field they would come back to Lourdes."
Six scholarships are for $1,500 and one is for $500. Applications can be found at www.lourdeshealth.net. The deadline is April 29, 2016.
