KENNEWICK, Wash. — A man accused of sexually abusing a child over the course of several years, has been arrested after turning himself in to the Kennewick Police Department.
On May 3, a reporting party advised to KPD officers, a family member had disclosed historical sexual abuse committed by another known family member. The sexual abuse reportedly occurred between 2007 and 2016 when the victim was between the ages of 4 and 13.
Detectives continued this investigation and talked with the victim who is now an adult. The victim confirmed the account of sexual abuse which led detectives to develop probable cause to arrest 65-year-old Raul Diaz Orozco.
On May 26, around 11:30 a.m., Orozco turned himself in at the Kennewick Police Department and police arrested him. Orozco has been booked into the Benton County Jail for suspicion of Rape of a Child in the First and Second Degree, and Child Molestation in the First Degree.
