New movie theater going up in south Kennewick
KENNEWICK, Wash. - A new movie theater is going up in Kennewick.
Fairchild Cinemas Southgate 10 will soon be under construction after plans to build another theater in south Kennewick were announced in February of 2017.
The theater will include 10 screens, reclining seats and regular concession snacks. Leaders say they also plan to serve alcohol at this location.
According to Fairchild Cinemas, the new theater will have at least two premium screens that feature the Dolby Atmos sound experience, similar to the Queensgate theater in Richland.
Cinema leaders have finalized permits with the city and a ground-breaking is scheduled for next week. The new theater is going up at the 2900 block of S. Quillan between Quillan and Olsen Streets.
