Oldest coffee shop in Richland's doughnuts rank best in state
RICHLAND, Wash. — Friday is National Doughnut Day and a Tri-City business is getting recognized as Washington’s top shop.
Assistant manager Shyann Peddie said the 70 years of practice is paying off and they’ve outlasted every other restaurant in town for a reason.
Peddie said the doughnuts are amazing but the reason people keep coming back is because they’re consistent.
“No matter when you come, or what day and time of year, its never going to change," she said. "It’s always going to be the same thing, every day, 365 days a year until the day we finally close these doors.”
On top of being locally owned, Peddie said Spudnuts is also a family business, with the current owner watched her parents and grandparents run the shop her whole life.
