One man dead after arrest by police; autopsy scheduled
RICHLAND, Wash. -- One man has died and multiple officers injured after a domestic violence call in Richland overnight.
It's unclear if the man died while in custody of Richland police or if the man died at the hospital.
Action News learned that just before midnight Richland police received a call about a man assaulting another man.
When authorities arrived they saw the suspect throwing beer bottles at a home.
The suspect was uncooperative with demands from police and it took several officers to detain him.
The man was taken to the hospital for his injuries, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to RPD multiple officers also received minor injuries.
At this time the special investigation unit has taken over the case and is asking the community to avoid the area of Wilson Street and McPherson Avenue for a few hours as the investigation continues.

Police say multiple officers have been placed on administrative leave.
Officials are not releasing the mans identity.
The dead man’s autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow at 9am.
