OREGON - The Oregon State Police are helping those who are stranded on I-84.
On a Facebook post by the Oregon State Police drivers that are stuck on I-84 between Hood River and Cascade Locks are getting special treats from the Oregon State Police.
Troopers from the Portland Area Command & The Dalles Area Command have loaded up with extra fuel and some provisions to help as much as we can with the health and safety of the stranded.
Oregon State Police and the Oregon Department of Transportation crews are working hard on clearing paths for emergency vehicles, snow plows and the many passenger vehicles.
Oregon Department of Transportation will need to bring in the big grader and equipment to break up the ice pack before the deicer and salt be spread.
Officers are are urging all travelers to avoid the area.
