SEATTLE — A paraglider got stuck in a tree near the Poo Poo Point takeoff site Friday afternoon.
Eastside Fire & Rescue (EF&R) tweeted just before 4 p.m. crews were responding to the incident.
KOMO's Air4 helicopter flew over the rescue:
Poo Poo Point is a well-known paraglider takeoff point in western Washington. The sports complex is in the 11000 block of Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast in Issaquah.
EF&R partnered with a tree climbing service to assist the patient down from the tree.
At 5:29 p.m., EF&R tweeted that the paraglider was successfully removed from the tree and was able to walk on his own.
He sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to EF&R.
