Plan submitted to change Clearwater Ave. Albertsons to Safeway
Kennewick, WA — The Albertsons at 5204 W. Clearwater Ave. in Kennewick has applied for general tenant improvement and a "banner flip" which would change the name of the store to Safeway, a subsidiary of Albertsons.
A spokesperson for Safeway told Action News:
"Our loyal Albertsons customers can still expect to find all the trusted brands they love and the same incredible associates serving their community."
The proposed $1.25 million commercial alteration plan would not add an square footage, but would relocate the existing pharmacy and add a drive-thru pharmacy window.
A new Starbucks kiosk is slated as well as façade improvements, a reconfiguration of the front end, restroom refreshments and a restriping of the entire parking lot.
A work permit has not yet been issued.
