Police trying to find witnesses of Deputy crash


    KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Traffic Investigators with the Kennewick Police Department are looking for some help identifying witnesses to a collision involving a Benton County Deputy.

    The collision occurred on Sunday, March 10th at approximately 2:00 pm at the intersection of Columbia Center Blvd and Canal Drive.

    Police say there were numerous witnesses to the collision; however, not all stayed to tell police what they saw.

    If you were in one of the vehicles circled in the photos, please give police a call at 582-1323.

    Additionally, if you witnessed the collision but did not speak with officers at the scene, please call in with information.

    Everyone involved in the crash has been treated and released after suffering minor injuries.

    Police say Deputy Mike McDermott crashed his patrol vehicle while responding to an incident in Benton City.

    The crash involved two other vehicles.
