Power outage impacts Richland under scorching temps
RICHLAND, Wash. - Power is now restored to customers and businesses as of 3 p.m. after a bad cable impacted many people in the central Richland area.
The city said crews have located the cable which caused power to go out Thursday afternoon and are working to determine the exact cause. City leaders said it could take crews a couple of hours to repair the line as they are not yet sure of what caused the outage.
The city said the outage has affected some traffic lights in the area between George Washington Way, Jadwin Ave, Goethals Dr., Lee Ave. and Swift Ave.
City leaders want to apologize for the impact this outage is having on customers.
