Power restored after widespread outage impacts Kennewick
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Crews have determined an excavator took down a transmission line near Gum Street Thursday, causing a widespread outage.
The outage impacted much of Kennewick, with five to six substations out.
The outage caused traffic lights to go out Thursday afternoon and officials encouraged drivers to treat non working lights as four way stops.
Benton PUD says most power is restored. The area of Gum and 36th should be back on by 5:30 p.m.
