KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The world’s best climbing and adventure films are coming to the Tri-Cities on Friday for the annual Reel Rock Film tour.
The Reel Rock film tour showcases a collection of the four best rock climbing and mountaineering films from 2018.
The event takes place from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. at the Southridge auditorium in Kennewick.
During the event, there will be an intermission with guest speakers and door prizes that include free T-shirts, gift cards and mountaineering supplies.
Event coordinators say it’s a time of celebration for anyone who loves the outdoors.
"We’re celebrating human achievement and motivation, breaking through comfort levels and doing ordinary things that’s really what rock climbing and mountaineering is really about," said Wallenfels.
One of the films explores speed climbing which will make its Olympic debut in 2020.
Tickets cost $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
Proceeds will benefit the Inter-Mountain Alpine Club for future guest speakers and outdoor oriented events.
