Report: 20 dead from flu in Tri-Cities area
TRI-CITIES, Wash. - Health leaders say 20 people in Benton and Franklin counties have died from the flu this season.
An report released Thursday from the Benton-Franklin Health District said two more people have died from influenza complications, totaling 20 flu deaths since mid-December.
Health leaders said the most recent victims were a woman in her 60s and a man in his 70s. Both were from Benton County.
Both people were also at an increased risk due to underlying health conditions, according to the health district.
