RICHLAND, Wash. – Richland City Council discussed whether they'll be moving forward with car tab fees to pay for the Duportail Bridge at their meeting Tuesday.
The city council already approved the ordinance to create a Transportation Benefit District with the purpose of improving and providing funding for transportation developments for the city.
Tuesday the council considered a second reading into how they'll fund the district.
Since it was approved, car tab fees will go into effect January of next year, increasing tab fees by $20 for citizens in Richland.
