Robbery suspect arrested after standoff in Pasco
PASCO, Wash. —
Pasco Police took three people into custody early Monday morning after a robbery turned into a late night standoff in Pasco.
Police responded to the incident on the corner of 5th Avenue and Clark Street around 9 p.m. Saturday.
Officials say a suspect with a gun robbed a man on the street and ran into an apartment next to the First Lutheran Church on the 500 block of Bonneville Street.
When police and the Tri-City Regional SWAT Team arrived, he refused to come out.
Police say the suspect is 35-year-old Ismael Valdez of Pasco and three people were inside the home when Valdez ran inside.
Around 12:40 Monday morning, Valdez, along with the three others, came out peacefully.
Valdez was arrested on first degree robbery with the possibility of other charges.
Officials say no one was injured.
Two of the three people inside the home were arrested on outstanding warrants.
