Saturday Power outage in Kennewick caused by animal

Benton County Wash. — Crews are responding Saturday afternoon after a power outage in East Kennewick and the Southridge area.

Benton PUD estimates that over 3,400 customers are affected.

Around 12:30 PM, crews discovered that an animal that feeds in the area is the cause of the outage.

Crews say power should be restored before 2:00 PM.
