WASHINGTON- Shopko is adding more stores to its list of ones that are set to close.
Shopko will close its Kennewick and Prosser stores on May 5 as the retailer works out its debt in bankruptcy court.
Around the Northwest, other Shopko stores also are closing in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
The Kennewick store is located at 867 N. Columbia Center and employs 45 people and opened in 1984.
The Prosser store is located at 471 Wine Country Road.
These stores are closing as part of the company’s fifth round of closures.
A liquidation sale begins tomorrow at both locations.
Employees were told of the closures on Wednesday.
