Single-car rollover in Pasco sends two to the hospital
PASCO, Wash. - A violent car crash in Pasco has sent a 38-year-old woman and a child to the hospital, troopers say.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) said the woman was driving, heading west on Interstate 182 at 395 north in Pasco Friday around 1:41 p.m., when her Dodge Dakota pickup truck went off road, and hit the guardrail and rolled, landing on its wheels on the cable barrier.
The wreck caused much of the truck's contents to spill on the side of the road.
The driver and child inside were rushed to the hospital. Responders said their injuries are not life-threatening.
WSP troopers said the cable barrier likely prevented the truck from entering the eastbound lanes.
Troopers say it is not known why the vehicle went off the road.
Traffic is slowed in both directions due to this crash. Drivers are asked to avoid the area by taking an alternative route on Lewis Street.
