Student removed from Horse Heaven Middle School due to school threat
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Officials say a student has been removed from Horse Heaven Hills Middle School in connection with a reported school threat.
The school issued a Facebook update Friday indicating an 11-year-old girl who attends the school was identified as having created an alleged "threats list" naming students and staff.
Police have informed school officials there is no danger to students or staff members in this incident.
The Kennewick Police Department continues to investigate the threat.
School officials are encouraging parents to talk to their kids about the consequences of making threats.
