Ink aficionados swarming Tri-Cities for Tattoo-con 2018
KENNEWICK, Wash. —
Tattoo lovers from all over are in Kennewick this weekend for the Three Rivers Tattoo Convention, or Tattoo-con 2018.
More than 50 artists are showing off their work and creating new designs at the event Eric Quintero describes as a "farmers market for ink".
Quintero said this is his fourth visit to Tattoo-con in six years.
He told Action News he keeps coming back because he loves the atmosphere and the art.
The artist said lately tattoos are becoming more common, and at the event you'll meet folks from all walks of life.
"Doctors, lawyers, everybody's getting tattoo'd nowadays," he said. "It's no longer the 'rebel' thing to do, it's now a 'mainstream' thing to do. One day everybody will have a tattoo."
Tattoo-con 2018 is running through Sunday night in the Three Rivers Convention Center, 7016 West Grandridge Blvd. in Kennewick.
Ticket information and prices are available on the event's official website.
