Trios Health establishes plan to emerge from bankruptcy
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Trios Health in Kennewick is heading out of financial troubles nearly one year after filing for bankruptcy.
The Kennewick Public Hospital District (KPHD) said Wednesday it will emerge from bankruptcy with the confirmation of its Chapter 9 Adjustment Plan by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern Division of Washington state.
The Trios Health Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to file for Chapter 9 Bankruptcy back in June of 2017.
Trios Health’s restructuring reduces the company’s pre-bankruptcy debt by about $350 million, according to a statement from the hospital.
