Kennewick, WASH. — Three Benton PUD Utility boxes were recently transformed into public art at Columbia Gardens Wine and Artisan Village.
The recent project was a collaboration between the Port of Kennewick and Benton PUD.
One of the transformers is adjacent to Gordon Estate Winery and the others are near Bartholomew Winery in Kennewick.
The utility boxes are wrapped with vineyards, grapes, and natural grasses by Kim Fetrow Photography.
The new utility box art joins the Mid-Columbia Latino Heritage Mural, Aspirations sculpture and the Rolling Mass bus shelter art installations at Columbia Gardens.
The port has established the art as an essential element of economic development at the Artisan Village.
