Kennewick, WA — A Kennewick woman is asking the community for help after she claims she and her four-year-old daughter were involved in a hit and run earlier this week.
On Tuesday, April 26th, Melissa Bean and her four-year-old daughter were traveling down Columbia Dr. when a silver SUV pulled out on Kent Pl. Bean says they collided and her 2005 Ford Mustang was totaled. Bean tells Action News by the time she was able to pull her daughter out of the car, the other driver had already taken off.
"I want this person to be accountable for what they caused," said Bean. "I don't think it's right for he or she to just drive off and not know if me or my daughter were okay in that car."
Melissa tells Action News she is dealing with whiplash and her daughter suffered no injuries.
She says a salesman from nearby Paradise Auto witnessed the accident and described the car as "approximately a 2014 Kia Sorento."
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Kennewick Police Department.
