Victim shot in foot, suspect on the loose

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Kennewick Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly shot one person in Kennewick Friday evening.

Just after 7 p.m., authorities responded to an assault with weapons in the 8600 block of W Imnaha Ave.

Officers said one victim sustained a gunshot wound to their foot and a cut to their head.

Police said the victim told them the suspect had also hit them in the head with the firearm.

The victim claimed they did not know the suspect and provided a description of a black man wearing a white sweater and a white shirt.

Police said there were no other witnessess.

Officials said this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
