Want to donate your formal dress to a good cause?
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Going to homecoming can be pricey but now there's one less expense for teens to worry about thanks to their peers from Tri-Cities Prep.
On Friday Action News told you about Dresses For Hope and Exchange For Change, free services connecting formal dresses with girls who wanted to wear them.
Organizer Mckenzie Mills said they had a decent turnout but there are still plenty of girls and dresses to match up. This is why she said they plan to run the event again next Spring.
Mills told Action News it was a lot of work but one specific moment made it all worth it,
"The girls just getting excited when they find the dress. One girl said it was like her Cinderella moment, so that was really cool."
If you have a formal dress you're not using and would like to contribute to someone else's Cinderella moment, contact Mckenzie Mills at 509-591-1640.
